Occasionally, the works of other creators take a deep root in my life for some time. When this occurs, I find myself eager to express my appreciation for their works, which at times I do through drawings. Work Background
The original character is drawn in a very simplistic style, so I wanted to capture their likeness without giving up too much detail. This is why some elements are less refined, such as the character’s nose being a patch of darkness. The character does lots of spins in the air, so I wanted to capture that with their pose.
Work Rationale
I deeply enjoyed the challenges brought by mino_dev’s Rabbit & Steel, and Heavyblade Rabbit, the pictured character, was who I cleared the greatest challenges with. I was so in to the game when it came out, that I felt compelled to spend time drawing my favorite character from it.

Work Background
Another one where the original character comes from a really simple character sprite. Cloie is the name of a friend’s agent in the game Lobotomy Corp, which became part of a running joke for accidental friendly fire.
Work Rationale
I wanted to capture a coldness in the character, given their frequent mishaps where they fired upon their fellow agents. I also wanted to capture the glowing symbol associated with their weapon, and the glow of it upon the character. The effect came out rather well.
